DIAGNOSIS

WHY ARE MY EYEBROWS BUSHY?

Your eyebrows are out of control. They have a mind of their own and you’re not sure how to control and groom them without going overboard. Sound familiar?

Thick, bushy brows are a beauty trend that people are loving right now, so lucky you. Thanks to the likes of Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins, it’s ok to have bigger, bushier brows. Having bushy brows is generally just down to your natural rate of hair growth. However, hair growth is very susceptible to hormones, so any hormonal changes could explain a sudden eyebrow growth spurt.

We love a full, bushy brow but if you’d still like to tame them a little, we’re here to help break it all down.

HOW TO SHAPE BUSHY EYEBROWS

Shaping bushy brows isn’t as easy as reaching for the tweezers. It’s easy to get carried away and end up with over plucked eyebrows. You’ll also need to take your face shape and features into consideration to determine what brow shape and style will be the most flattering for you.

A consultation with your local HD Brows stylist is the best way to keep your brows totally bespoke to you. They’ll come with a maintenance programme to keep your brows fresh while ensuring the size, shape and colour are all designed to flatter your features.

PRODUCTS FOR YOUR BUSHY BROWS

If you find you have unwanted re-growth before you’re due your next appointment, we’d prescribe a daily dose of Re-Growth Minimiser. The formula is enriched with an innovative blend of natural flavonoids, aloe vera and volcanic water to gently diminish the appearance of undesired regrowth. The kind-to-skin formula softens hairs, making it much easier and more comfortable to remove them at your next appointment.

With bushy brows, you don’t need to add any make up to create fullness. Simply brush them into perfect place or brush them up for a textured look using our transparent Brow Beater, a non sticky gel which will keep your brows in place all day long.

BUSHY BROWS FAQS

CAN I SHAPE BUSHY EYEBROWS?

Yes of course! Although we recommend leaving any shaping to the experts to ensure you create an eyebrow shape that suits you and avoid overplucking your wonderfully full arches.

HOW DO I TAME BUSHY EYEBROWS?

Regular HD Brows appointments will help to maintain a fresh brow shape; we recommend visiting every 4-6 weeks. If you find that your hairs grow quickly, you could use the Re-Growth Minimiser on any stray hairs that fall outside of the eyebrow shape to minimise their appearance.

For daily grooming, a Spoolie Brush is your best friend. Brush this through the brows in the direction you want your hairs to sit. Next, take a clear eyebrow gel that will set them in place all day long.

CAN I TRIM BUSHY EYEBROWS?

You can, but you’ll need a small pair of eyebrow scissors, like our Precision Scissors. To use, brush the hairs up using a Spoolie Brush and trim any that fall outside your eyebrow shape. Take tiny snips from the end of the hairs until you’re happy with the length to avoid taking them too short.
